Say goodbye to free markets and limited government..

The end of fiscal conservatism

Bush is seeking $700 billion to buy “bad mortgages” in the largest bailout in history.  The proposal attempts to bail out the entire financial system, rather than individual banks.  This sweeping federal intervention will turn out to be either excessively costly, or unnecessary.

RALEIGH — In an election for President of the United States in North Carolina Tuesday, Republican John McCain suddenly and breathtakingly surges to a 20-point win over Democrat Barack Obama, 58% to 38%, according to this latest exclusive SurveyUSA election poll conducted for ABC11-WTVD.

In 3 previous SurveyUSA NC tracking polls, McCain had led by 8, 5, and 4 points. Today: 20. McCain has gained ground in every demographic group. Among men, McCain led by 9 last month, 27 today. Among women, Obama led by 2 last month, trails by 12 today. McCain holds 9 of 10 Republican voters; Obama holds 3 of 4 Democratic voters; independents, who were split last month, break today crisply for McCain, where, in the blink of an eye, he is up by 25…

They’re at it again! This time in New Mexico!

The Bernalillo County clerk has notified prosecutors that some 1,100 possibly fraudulent voter registration cards have been turned in to her office.

Some cards in New Mexico’s most populous county have the same name as a voter who’s already registered, but carry a different birth date or Social Security number; some list someone else’s Social Security number; some have addresses that don’t exist, Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver said Wednesday.

In one case, a series of about nine cards appears to have been taken directly from the phone book, she said.

“Those are sort of the big red flags,” Toulouse Oliver said.

Michelle Malkin has more.

These guys will do anything to make sure their “God” is elected.. legal or otherwise!

McCain was correct in Sex-Ed Ad!

September 16, 2008 - Leave a Response

Recently the left has been carping about McCain’s recent ad against Obama..

Read this wonderful article by Byron York over at National Review. Now read the actual bill

It seems McCain was correct all along.. as Byron has concluded.

“[T]he bill’s intention was to mandate sex education, especially concerning contraception and the prevention of sexually-transmitted diseases, for children before the sixth grade and as early as kindergarten. Obama’s defenders may howl, but the bill is what it is.”

Chevy Chase:Unhindged

Washed-up actor/comedian Chevy Chase appeared on Morning Joe yesterday morning; where he expressed his displeasure with the recent Tina Fey as Sarah Palin skit on SNL. But not in the way that you may think. I’ll let him speak for himself..

I’d like her to go even harder. I want her to decimate this woman.  This is a, this woman is, I mean I can’t believe isn’t more about her.  All the media have and the press have been going “oh, she’s a wonderful, oh God, her speech was great.”  Just unbelievable to me that this woman is running for vice-president.

More on the exact definition of “decimate” and the video of this delightful interview at newsbusters

Lindsay Lohan on Sarah Palin:A love letter!

September 15, 2008 - One Response

Caught this link on drudge report this morning. Take a look here

It seems as if celebrity, drunk, and occasional actress Lindsay Lohan has decided to speak out about Sarah Palin in her Myspace Blog!

Highlights include:

“Oh, and… Hint Hint Pali Pal – Don’t pose for anymore tabloid covers, you’re not a celebrity, you’re running for office to represent our, your, my COUNTRY!”

“Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?”

Hmm. It sounds to me as if she is describing Obama, not Palin!

Sigh.. I suppose we can always count on Lindsay Lohan for key political and cultural insights.. like, what exactly one does for fun in rehab!

Photoshop:Why liberals should be banned from using it!

September 15, 2008 - One Response

Over at American Digest it seems they have stumbled across various “out takes” from photographer Jill Greenberg’s photo shoot with John McCain (for The Atlantic magazine).

Let’s take a look at some of the fun she’s been having with photoshop!

[rolling eyes]..but it’s “art” remember![/rolling eyes]

However, this isn’t the first time Ms. Greenberg has used her art to promote hatred!

Michelle Malkin has more..

A simple Google search would have turned up my post and posts by many professional photographers disgusted by what she did in 2004 and put on exhibit in 2006. This woman deliberately terrorized children, stripped them, ordered parents to “step out of the studio for a couple minutes” in concerted attempts to make children cry who were not cooperating, and then captioned the photos of the children with anti-Bush slogans.

Let me refresh your memories:

This is unbelievably sick. A left-wing photographer, Jill Greenberg, deliberately makes toddlers cry and turns the pictures into a Los Angeles art exhibit called “End Times” to indulge her Bush Derangement Syndrome. She slaps titles like “Grand Old Party,” “Four More Years,” and “Apocalypse Now” onto photos of the poor children she manipulated and goaded.

The Guardian covers the exhibit here with links to the children’s photos and reports how Greenberg deliberately provoked the children to tears:

When photographer Jill Greenberg decided to take a lollipop away from a small child, she had a broader purpose in mind.

“The first little boy I shot, Liam, suddenly became hysterically upset,” the Los Angeles-based photographer said. “It reminded me of helplessness and anger I feel about our current political and social situation.”

As the 27 two- and three-year-olds featured in her exhibition, End Times, cried and screamed, demanding the return of the lollipop given to them just moments before, Greenberg snapped away.
